Modern real estate in the Central Coast
The 2016 census found that the Central Coast is made up of 121,041 occupied private dwellings. The majority of these (78.5%) of these are separate houses, with 12.4% and 7.6% of these being semi-detached houses and flats or apartments respectively.
Similar to Sydney, the Central Coast property market has seen a spike over the past few years, although more recent studies have shown that the market has normalised. Strong investment from nearby Sydney keeps the market relatively stable, and a high demand for residential properties has also seen a strong land value increase.
Commission structures in the Central Coast can be divided into fixed or tiered commission, according to the terms that are negotiated with the agent. The agent commission rate in the Central Coast is 2.33% on average, but commission rates may vary.
A haven just outside the city
I have always had, as I know many people have, a singular passion for Australia. I do love the sunburnt country, its ancient landscapes, its exhilarating reaches of sand and sea.
– Peter Garret
Located a short 90-minute drive from Sydney, the Central Coast is distinctly different from the capital of New South Wales and the Hunter Valley in which it’s located – think of the Central Coast as the less urban, less industry-driven stepsister. But she certainly isn’t ugly.
